DIANE’S MOVIE (working title)

LOGLINE: At twenty-three, the age when anything and everything is possible and life’s adventure is just beginning, Diane is diagnosed with a mysterious and deadly disease. Distraught with grief over her once full life and fear of a diminished future, she sequesters herself from family and friends to face a life of broken dreams, alone. Divorced, homeless, and overwhelmed with despair, Diane’s lost everything that matters yet she must put together the remaining pieces of her shattered life from the dilapidated back seat and trunk of her car. How does someone even attempt to face, let alone overcome these daunting, impossible obstacles? Diane refuses to give up and digs deep inside to find uncommon courage to live a life of impact, purpose and victory. Armed with indomitable faith and optimism, she discovers a new life as fulfilling and rewarding as the one she lost. (Based on a true story and book.)

Script – Hiring a writer, research, completion of first draft, rewrite & polish of screenplay

Casting Director – Meetings and hiring of casting director. Casting director will work with the Producers and Director in casting lead role.
Lead Actress – Submissions to review.
Locations – Director and Producers scout possible filming locations.
Budget – With the script, director, actress in place, Producers will work with Line Producer to create initial budget and schedule.
Legal – Set up appropriate documentation for the production and initial contracts.
Producers – Producers will initiate, supervise and execute all steps above as well as begin the groundwork for marketing, sales, PR.

Diane Dike, Ph.D. – DIANE’S MOVIE is based on her life story and her book, God Made Only One of Me, Dr. Dike is the founder of Second Change with Saving Grace, Inc., an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope and help to those in needs. With the love and support of her husband and service dog, Gracie, Diane and her organization’s reach has touched, inspired and changed countless lives.

Troy Mathis – Served as Regional Director for Houlihan Smith & Co, a Chicago based Investment Banking firm. Past Marketing Manager for the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. President for 9 years of Rah!Rah! Productions working with recording artists as The Isely Bros., LL Cool, J, H-Town and other talents. Co-CEO and co-founder of Mathis & Morris Prods producing features such as GRAD NIGHT and GAME NIGHT under the company’s distribution deal with Vivendi.

Pamela Rosenberg – Head of Co-Production for the Filmboard Berlin Brandenburg, premiere film and television fund based in Germany for 12 years. Filmboard was involved numerous prize winning and box office successes including, RUN LOLA RUN, FLIRT, DEAD MAN, MANNEPENSION, EAST SIDE STORY, THE PIANIST. Produced various Award Winning Feature Documentaries: JUST ONE STEP, THE GREAT PEACE MARCH (Turner Broadcasting), KEEP NOT SILENT, Israeli Oscar, British Grierson Award Nominee (Sundance Channel), MY FIRST WAR (PBS), and DOLPHIN BOY (Channel 4, Arte).
